Dayne and his team provide a truly unique offering in residential construction. They have successfully married the practical application of exceptional craftsmanship, artistic flair, and an outstanding client experience to realise the vision that their clients have for their homes.

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to be introduced to Dayne when making the decision to build on the Sunshine Coast. He and his team were a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation, standing on our vacant block, through to the final reveal, standing in our spectacular home.

 Dayne is not only one of the nicest guys you will meet, but the consummate professional. In contrast to a traditional construction process, we met Dayne first and were subsequently referred by him to our amazing architectural team at Reitsma Associates, and interior design team a Zooi design. What felt like an expansion of the team, rather than introductions, resulted in the perfect collaboration of individuals working seamlessly to deliver our dream home.

 No build is without its share of challenges, but the lengthy design phase, pause in construction, steep incline and limited access to our site, never-ending rain, a pandemic, and disruptions to trades and material availability, provided Dayne and his team with a level of complexity that no one could have anticipated. Dayne’s calm approach to overcoming any obstacle coupled with his team’s execution made this project so much easier than it would have been had we chosen another builder. Despite what was an extremely frustrating construction process, Dayne’s energy and commitment to our project were unwavering.

Throughout construction, Dayne’s work ethic, knowledge, varied skills and attention to detail, filtered through to his talented team and industry contacts to create the beautiful and quality home that we now inhabit. As international clients rarely onsite (one being a detailed-oriented control freak), the level of trust we needed to place with Dayne was huge, but as the project progressed, we found ourselves making all decisions based on “what does Dayne suggest”.

To all who contributed to this project we cannot thank you enough for making this dream a reality. And while it is not our intention to detract from the expertise that other professionals brought to the project, it was Dayne, there from the beginning, for every meeting, so many emails and calls, all the decisions, the occasional counselling session, every construction high and low, through to the very end, where he was last onsite at handover, hosing down our driveway. He put so much of himself into this project , exceeding what anyone would expect from their builder.  We honestly believe this level of engagement throughout the entire project made the home what it is today.

Very early on Dayne communicated in an email that achieving an outcome we were happy with was of greater concern to him than what it would take to get there. That sums up how much he really does care when building your home.

Dayne Lawrie Constructions were the perfect partner to see us through this amazing journey and we are constantly astounded that this spectacular home is actually ours.

What started as a business relationship has ended as a friendship and we are so grateful to Dayne, his family and his team for bringing our vision to life!
